🐑123 farms Sheep Sheering Festival - (Saturday & Sunday)The 12th Sheep Shearing Festival takes place at the historic Highland Springs Ranch & Inn (est. 1884) located in Cherry Valley, CA. Get a close-up view of how our sheep are shorn and how we process our wool. Guests can learn about natural dyes, how to wash wool, and visit our farm to feed our organic sheep. Graciano, the sheep shearer, will demonstrate how the sheep are freed from their winter woolies. Participants will also be able to see what happens to the fleece once it leaves the sheep (washing, carding, dyeing, and spinning).

💐Visit The Flower Fields in Carlsbad - For over sixty years, Mother Nature has transformed North San Diego County's rolling hills into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The nearly fifty acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch in Carlsbad, California, are in bloom for 10-weeks - from early March through early May- literally bringing the famous fields back to life. This annual burst of color, which has become part of the area's local heritage, also is one of nature's official ways of announcing the arrival of spring here in Southern California.
