7 Reasons Why Level Up Kids Sports Is Different

By Level Up Kids Sports, Rancho Cucamonga May 28, 2021

Level Up Kids Sports is not just an ordinary sports league trying to turn kids into athletes.  It is an intentional youth sports program that is focused on cultivating the heart of the child just as much as their athletic ability.

Here are 7 things that make Level Up Kids Sports different from other programs in the area.

  1. A player can invite a friend to be their team!  Actually, they can invite several friends to be on their team.  We don’t know of any other sports programs that will allow this!  Not only does this help create community and strengthen friendships, but this also allows a child to feel more comfortable knowing he/she has a buddy on the team.
  1. The kids' experience is more important than winning a game. We all know winning is more fun than losing, but the primary focus of Level Up Kids Sports is on the kids’ developing skills, knowledge, and good character.  At this age, it is better to lay the foundation of how to play a sport and how to work as a team. Level Up Kids Sports wants kids to walk away from the season excited to come play again!
  1. Building community for the players and families is a priority.  From Wacky Weekly themes that make practices fun and silly to creating unity on the team with team parties, making new friendships and growing old ones is a big focus as Level Up Kids Sports!  Parents will strike up new connections on the sidelines and the players will bond with their team.  These friendships will grow deeper with each season because the league is small and central to Rancho Cucamonga.
  1. Level Up Cards with encouraging words are given to the players after every game! Parents will write these words of encouragement on the card of a player that is not their child.  Then, the coach reads these cards aloud after the game. Kids go home knowing their efforts were appreciated and that they are valued.
  1. Parents are encouraged to be involved. From being assistant coaches to team parents, Level Up Kids Sports wants the parents to experience lasting memories with their children as they participate in helping their child’s team.  Some parents might only have a few moments to contribute and some might be all in.  Regardless of the parents’ schedule, parents will look back at these practices and games and be grateful for moments they had with their child.
  1. Unique programs like “Closing Ceremonies” and a season finale “Parents vs Kids” game, help further build community within Level Up Kids Sports and bring a special touch to the program.  Not many programs out there make it a point to celebrate the kids so well at the end of the season.  Being a league with strong intentions for building community, this program does a fantastic job of incorporating events that value the player and their family.
  1. The most noteworthy detail of Level Up Kids Sports, however, is that character development is just as big a focus as athletic development.  Weekly “Level Up Talks” at the end of practice will share encouraging words about being loved and how to love others.  This program believes that each child’s heart is precious!  It seeks the opportunity weekly to pour good things into the lives of all the children and families involved.

For these reasons and many more not mentioned, we think that any child between the ages of 5 to 11 should consider signing up for Level Up Kids Sports!  The fall soccer season is currently accepting registration on their website.  Families are encouraged to sign up before June 15 as a waitlist will be started on June 16.  We think you will love being a part of this program!
