Local Holiday Lights Adventure

In & Around Rancho Cucamonga

December 11, 2022

Nothing says the holidays like thousands of dazzling lights. While there are many ticketed drive-thrus with fabulous professional light shows, we know some of the best displays are homegrown and right here in our own community. Below we have compiled a list of great places for you to drive by and gaze at the hard work of one of your "neighbors" with a heart of gold and a ton of string lights they were willing to untangle.

One of my favorite traditions as a kid was driving the neighborhood with my family to see our neighbors Christmas lights. We would all be in our pajamas. My mom would make hot chocolate and bring blankets while we listened to Christmas music on the radio with the windows rolled down, driving all around Rancho Cucamonga.

Now, I have continued the tradition with my kids. I don't tell them when we are going, the spontaneity is part of the fun. I wait until later in the evening when everyone least expected it. Then pack up hot chocolate and popcorn or drive us thru Krispy Kreme for a sweet treat and head out on the town with blankets on our laps, driving all over Rancho Cucamonga looking at houses light displays. Here is a free download for our Macaroni KID Rancho Cucamonga subscribers! Use this 2022 Christmas Lights Adventure tickets to surprise your kids with a family night of driving around Rancho looking at Christmas lights!
