Our family went to Huntington Learning Center where my daughter Kate, in third grade, took their academic evaluation and my son Connor, a sophomore, took their SAT test. I was expecting to get the typical assessment sheet that said “good, needs assistance, below grade level”, but what we got was so much more.
Kate’s academic evaluation was given by a licensed, certified teacher which included her hand and motor skills, sight word & reading level, reading comprehension, writing and math. The parent review of her results gave me the exact areas where she was excelling and other areas that she needs a little extra support.
Connor’s SAT gave us a glimpse into what he can expect when it comes time to take the actual test next year. It showed us exactly where he needs to focus on studying to get his scores higher. They reviewed the colleges he wanted to attend and what their SAT score admission requirements were. It will help him so much with planning out his next steps.
